2009 MSImage Oncology & Hematology Study
Market Strategies has released its fourth annual MSImage Oncology & Hematology Study which identifies those pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical companies that oncologists and hematologists perceive to have the best overall image.
The study was conducted with 465 physicians, who evaluated more than 30 pharmaceutical sales professionals, corporate equity and R&D attributes, to determine which measures drive a pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical company’s image and performance.
In this study physicians identified several information-related attributes as critical drivers of image. While physicians want to hear more about new clinical information and emerging research, it is more difficult than ever for sales reps to get access to these physicians.
The MSImage Oncology & Hematology Study helps such companies better understand their strengths and weaknesses among key stakeholders. It can be used by companies to effectively drive performance measures, influencing decision makers to engage in more positive behaviors toward high performing companies. It also can be used to develop strategies for sales reps to become more effective in the present and future.
This emphasis on image leadership can lead to increased customer loyalty, actual and future purchase intentions, peer recommendations and a general willingness to participate in pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical programs, clinical trials and a willingness to see more sales reps from that company.
Benefits to purchasing the study include:
- Identification of which company activities impact oncology/hematology stakeholders’ perceptions, thereby driving overall corporate image
- Detailed results among top scoring companies and why Genentech, Novartis, Celgene, Sanofi-Aventis, AstraZeneca, Amgen, Eli Lilly/ImClone and others lead the way
- Identification of the relative impacts of drivers on corporate image and key attributes.
- The ability to benchmark against competitors on attribute performance and the comparison of relative positions companies have on each attribute
- Detailed benchmarking to past studies is provided
